3rd Annual High School Field Day Promotes Unity, Fitness, and Fun

Shreveport, LA – CeJay Cares, Inc. and KOKA Radio Station, in partnership with community leaders and students, are excited to announce their upcoming High School Field Day, a spirited and action-packed event aimed at promoting physical fitness, camaraderie, and school spirit among students. Now in its 3rd year, the event is scheduled to take place on Friday, March 29th at Southern Hills Park, from 2 PM until 5 PM, and promises to be a day filled with friendly competition, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

High School Field Day has become an annual tradition in Caddo Parish bringing together high school students to participate in a variety of athletic and recreational activities. The event not only encourages physical activity but also fosters teamwork, sportsmanship, and a sense of community within the student body.

Event organizers said they hope a fun outlet will keep kids out of trouble. KOKA’s Station Director Charles Johnson said the bottom line of the event is to reach the youth before the streets do.

“High School Field Day helps the community by creating positive environments for young people to be able to do things that are fun and festive instead of just having them idle on the streets. We have to continue this type of momentum. Everybody should be doing something, and not just one person. If we’re going to impact today’s generation, we have to keep them busy in positive events, positive activities and positive environments,” he said.

Students attending will receive free food and enjoy many fun games and activities.

The event is free for all Shreveport-Bossier City high school students with their school I.D. Students may register at
